Descriptive Writing

This is a picture of my date and I before homecoming! We went to dinner at the old fashioned resturant, Cracker Barrel. The seats and tables were smooth wood, while the inside was decorated with lots of old time pictures, and antiques. The food was very good too! I was wearing silver, one inch heels with my dress. They strapped over cross my feet four times. My date and I matched, kind of like the other couples. I bought him a boutinnear as shown, and he bought me a corsage which was placed on my other hand. It was white flowers, with silver, thick ribbon tied in a bow on it. To put it on your wrist, you put the silver bracelet on your hand that was attached. It was really chilly that night, and the wind wiped a lot. It felt all of 30 degrees out, but that didn't stop us from going and having fun! The picture above is just one of many of this amazing night! We had such an amazing, and fun time. If I could, I would go back to this night each and everyday to replay it.

Theme #2 ; Plot #3

The killing of Candy's dog was very hard on Candy! He had said that he had the dog since he was first born, since it was just a little pup. He was really upset to see them have to kill it. Although at the same time, he knew that the dog was miserable had really no more use. He couldn't hardly see, walk or really function in any other way. They knew it would be hard, but the dog's time on earth was no more.
The same goes for Lennie! He could hear, talk and walk, but his brain was loosing its proper function. He couldn't figure out how to control himself when he got angry. Lennie didn't exactly know how to use his brain, other than to work. Even eventually he couldn't work on the farm right. George could no longer help him the way he needed help, nor would he be able to afford to help him. Lennie would definitely be missed, but his time on earth was over. He did what he could in the time he was there, and created lots of good memories for George to go on with.

The day was October 17, 1806, a gorgeous sunny day! Curley, the son of a boss of a local farmer was getting married today! He had proposed to a young woman, a year before. He met her in town one day, one a buisness run, and weeks after that they had talked and been inseperable! Today was the day Curley, and his wife would say, 'I do' and last forever! They would say caring words, and mean it from deep down inside their hearts. Curley's wife was so excited to look all pretty in her mother's gown, and marry the man of her dreams! Curley was excited too, but not as much. He liked the fact of having a wife, but really only to have someone to call his, and make her do things for him! As the day went on, they said the, 'I do's' and had the small reception following! It had been the day of Curley's wife dreams, and even Curley had fun himself!

Dreams

George and Lennie's dream was to have the farm with the rabbits, and the house. To have a dream like that, even though it was back than, I definitely think its realistic! Anything you can set your mind too, you can do it! They had their plan all worked out. They had been saving their money, made all the calls, and got the job to finish up the money to buy the house. They had their minds set on something, and were working so hard to get towards it!
I think its very important for people to have dreams! If you don't have dreams, you have nothing to work towards. Dreams make your life worth living! They give you something to think about, work towards, and than eventually fullfil and have! Although, when someone, especially a close someone doubts those dreams, its so hard to work towards them. You think that if someone who means alot to you, doubts you can do something, than you think you can't no matter how hard you try. They make you feel so little about something you think of so highly for! When a dream goes unfullfilled, you begin to just let it drift. The dream is no longer there and you don't care as much about it. They once seemed so important, and they now seem so little.
In the end, no one really wants to here the truth. Its never okay to dream the unrealizable because than that holds you back from the dreams that can become real! Once you start to dream, if you think its unreal, than move onto a bigger and better dream! The more dreams you create, and go through with the happier you will be in the long run.

Don't judge a person by their cover..

Some people get picked on for not having enough money. Others get picked on for not being 'up-to-date' on the styles. I on the other hand, used to get picked on so bad for my weight. I used to be like sickly skinny when I was younger, than once I lost my sisters, I got alot of weight. It all happened in like six months time, and everybody used to make fun of me for it. I tried to explain myself to them, on why I had put on some weight, but of course they didn't care. They felt the need to everyday comment or put me down about it.
The way I felt back than, was utterly terrible! I thought the picking on me was never going to end. It was like just because I had gained some weight, I wasn't the same person anymore. I got so upset, that I eventually would stop eating at all, I thought if I stopped eating I would drop the weight like nothing! Well I did, but it deffinitely wasn't safe. I ended up getting seriously sick, and lost too much weight at one time. You would think that since they were your friends, they wouldn't care. That friends were supposed to help you, lift you up, not break you down and make you feel like nothing!
Now that I look back, I shouldn't of even worried what they thought. We were all in fourth grade, and just a bunch of little, immature kids. I guess I shouldn't of taken it so much to the heart, and let it hurt my feelings as bad. In all naturality, everyone has a flaw! One person's may be a little overweight, another may be their parents don't have all the money in the world. Just because a person isn't perfect in your eyes, doesn't mean they aren't in someone else's. I learned that you shouldn't be so quick to judge, because you don't know what's going on with the other person! I honestly think them picking on me, made me alot stronger and wiser.
